Kevin Sweet

Kevin is the Chief Technology Officer, a Founding Partner and a Board member of the Mako Group. He is the architect of Mako’s proprietary trading system and the principal author of its pricing/risk management and order routing infrastructure. Before joining Mako in 2000, Kevin was the Head of Technology for the London-based options trading firm Saratoga (1998-2000) and, before that, a partner in the Chicago-based options trading firm Hull Trading Company (1993-1998). 

Prior to his career in finance, he worked in the defense industry developing seismic data acquisition and processing systems (1989-2003) and modeling nuclear weapons effects (1985-1989). Kevin received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Arts degree in Applied Mechanics from the University of California, San Diego.
